So if any one out there thinks it's a good idea to get a CT110 here is my advice. (the quickest $600 I have burnt to date!). I had only just bought a new $600 helmet the day before and my head hit the ground making it dangerous to use again. So get ready to laugh, I ran into him and we both fell over like a couple of idiots. We turned around and I came close to him so as to over take him (to see if I could go faster than 70kph), but he started turning to pull over (to show me something) and I could not stop with the brakes, and I was too close. (Yea right)He never went faster than 70 either. Read more cond hand dealer took me for a ride (on his own CT110) up the back streets to open them up. Once it got past 60kph it was really unstable and felt like I had to adjust it constantly so it wouldn't go off the road. It made 70kph ok but did not make the 80kph claimed top speed, (I'm 80kgs). The bike was second hand and felt more like a push bike than motorbike.

(Bike got written off) Thought a CT110 would be a good option while waiting to get my open licence and get the bike I really want. I have been riding a CBF250 for nine months before I was cut off and went to the ground. Not fast but fast enough for get around Sydney traffic.Įasy of convenience, initail purchase and ownership costs, fuel efficient, easy to repair, heaps of parts, ergonomics, Will do 80kph no probs and blitzs at the lights. It may not be very manly but under my helmet who cares. No expensive plastics or computers to go wrong. Drum brakes, skinny tyres, simple bulletproof electrics, comfy seat, big rear rack. I work out that if I use $10 a week in fuel i'll be out of pocket less than $1000 per year all told on the road inc rego. What bike could be cheaper to own and run than this. It's going to be knocked over, bumped into and rained on. I realised that I will come off this bike. Turns out that when you get to the nuts and guts of it the postie is all the commuter you'd need. I thought a lot about what bike I wanted to commute to work on. I do use the high low ratio abit, when taking the dogs for around, Had no troubles. Was a dear bike to buy cost 4700 dollars.
